Pictured Left & Right is the exterior & interior views of a 1986 Ford Taurus. Produced in December 1985, at the time, Taurus was ahead of its time, receiving 1986 "Motor Trend" Magazine's Car of the Year.

In 1992, Taurus got its first change in body style. Making it look sleeker than its later models! This style went to 1995.

In 1996, Taurus changed its body style once again, making it look a lot different from the older models. Taurus designers wanted to try to keep up with rapidly changing designs in vehicles in the mid 1990s.

In 2000, Taurus's body style was changed for the final time. It's production was halted for the first time in 10 years in early 2006 due to slow sales. Taking over the Taurus will be the Ford Fusion.
